Description
Rowan trees have smooth, silvery-brown bark and fern-like leaves that turn a deep red in autumn. In spring, they produce clusters of creamy-white flowers, followed by bright orange-red berries in the fall. Their slender form makes them a suitable specimen tree for gardens and an excelent small size amenity tree.
The leaves are a food source for the caterpillars of several moth species. Its flowers provide nectar and pollen for pollinators such as bees. The berries are an important food source for birds, including blackbirds, thrushes, redstarts, and redwings.
Rowan estimated full grown height is 8-15 metres.
Grown in peat free 10L and 15L pots. Our native broadleave range is UK and Ireland Sourced and Grown (UKISG).
