Description
A high-quality 1896 Worcestershire heritage variety that received an Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. It is a highly valued garden apple, especially in western UK regions, due to its excellent natural resistance to apple scab.
Fine-textured, firm, cream-coloured flesh that is sweet, exceptionally juicy, and intensely aromatic. Picked in mid-October, Lord Hindlip is an outstanding winter keeper; its flavours mellow beautifully in storage, reaching peak eating quality from December right through until March.
