Similar in flavour to Cox’s Orange Pippin, it makes a great aromatic eating apple that works equally well cooked in pies and sauces. It is a fairly compact tree of medium vigour, making it a good choice for the smaller garden, and it proves to be an easy tree to grow. The blossom is frost tolerant so it is a wise choice for exposed or northern areas and the fruit will ripen around September/October time.
