Description
This is variety that was brought in to cultivation by Thornhayes nursery in the 1990s. It was 'discovered' as an old tree at Poltimore farm (Tom lives!) in Farway, East Devon. It was an old tree then, and has since recognised as a true local 'Devon' variety. It is a late season cooker/sharp cider. Bright acidity, crisp flesh and truly massive apples! We harvest them in early November and use them in the kitchen and in cider blends.
