This comprehensive day course will take place at Tom's own home orchard and will look at how to prune and grow fruit trees of various ages; from initial formative pruning of young trees, to renewal and maintenance pruning of older, established trees.
It will be an informal day of theory, group discussions, demonstrations and the opportunity to practice pruning mature tree.
We will mostly be looking at and pruning apple trees; but there will be opportunities to discuss and prune pear, quince, plum and cherry trees.
Particularly suitable for those with some tree pruning experience already, such as gardeners and tree surgeons, but we also welcome beginners!
