Description
Raised in the early 19th century in Hertfordshire, Lane’s Prince Albert makes a compact and neat tree that bears heavy crops of shiny green cooking apples. It is an excellent choice for a small garden as the tree will stay manageable and small. Apples are ready to pick from mid-October and will hold their shape when cooked. The fruits store well and by March the apples will have become sweeter and can be used as dessert fruit. It is still widely grown in parts of Northern Europe where it is used for juicing.
Please note, the 12 L potted tree option is for collection only. We can organise pallet delivery for a cost of £100 plus VAT, this will cover 12 - 20 potted trees (depending on age of tree and size of pot) or a mixture of pots and bare rooted trees, please get in touch if you would like us to arrange this for you.
