Description
A bittersharp perry pear with low/medium acidity and high tannin. Ad advantage of Butt is that it can be harvested in November and fruit will store for a few weeks before pressing - unlike early perry pear varieties, which can have a very short 'pressing window'!
It is arguably one of the best perry pear varieties, widely grown across the perry making region of the Three Counties.
