Description
Morgan Sweet is a very popular old Somerset variety, ripening by early September to make a light, fruity cider in time for Christmas. In the early 20th century it was originally grown and marketed as a dessert fruit, with Morgan Sweets being shipped out to the mining towns of South Wales, where it remains a popular variety to this day. The trees are strong growers, making a large spreading tree giving good and regular crops of sweet and juicy apples.
