Friday 20th Feb 2026 9.45 - 2.30pm<br> Learn how to graft your own fruit trees! <br> This will be a mostly practical day, with some theory and demonstrations.<br> <br> We will cover:<br> <b>The theory of why and how we graft fruit trees<br> An overview of rootstocks <br> Practicing the whip and tongue graft<br> Grafting older trees - how to top-work trees with the rind graft and cleft graft<br> The post-grafting care for your young tree</b><br> <br> We will practice the whip and tongue graft on willow until your cutting is proficient and then you will graft two trees to take home onto rootstock of your choice, selecting scion wood from our extensive mother tree orchard. <br> <br> The workshop will take place at our nursery in Dulford, East Devon. <br> <br> Refreshments will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch. <br> <br> <br> <br> <br>
