Description
Duke of Devonshire produces a well-balanced sweet/sharp dessert apple with creamy white flesh and a distinct taste of fruit drops. It is a disease resistant variety so ideal for organic cultivation and damper climates. It was raised at Holker Hall, Lancashire by the gardener Mr. Wilson around 1875, and remains a good late season dessert apple for eating January to March.
